7feb-peacemakerDo you know how many peace agreements were signed in 2012? Looking for tools to manage peace processes and negotiate peace agreements? Try to explore the world’s peace agreements on UN Peacemaker, the United Nations online mediation support tool.

UN Peacemaker offers key tools and resources to support mediators and their teams in managing peace processes and negotiating peace agreements, including:

- A comprehensive database of more than 750 peace agreements.
- Guidance documents on mediation, such as the 'UN Guidance for Effective Mediation'.
- Information on UN mediation support activities and services.
- A library of selected resources on mediation issues.
- Upcoming video-interviews with mediation experts.

UN Peacemaker also contains a special page on the 'United Nations Guidance for Effective Mediation', which was developed at the request of the General Assembly. Based on broad consultations, the Guidance for Effective Mediation aims to inform the design and management of mediation processes. The document is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

The Guidance for Effective Mediation can be downloaded on smartphones as part of the 'UN Mediation App' (open the link with a smartphone/tablet – click the 'share/options' button – select 'save/bookmark to home').
