This week from (11-18 January 2013), the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and Canadian Crossroads International are co-moderating an e-discussion on inequalities faced by girls. The overall conversation on young people and inequalities in light of the post 2015 development agenda is being moderated jointly by UNICEF, UN Women, Restless Development and World Vision International.
The discussion aims to gather views from a broad range of stakeholders on issues related to young people and inequalities as they affect the Post-2015 Development Agenda. This is a chance to highlight the power of civic engagement and volunteering as a means to challenge traditional role models, an opportunity to build capacities and strengthen the role of girls and young women in societies across the world.
Your recommendations will inform the United Nations’ work on the Post-2015 framework and feed into the work of the High-Level Panel on the Post-215 Development Agenda and related processes.
