Word’s out that tech has an image problem among girls who think it might be boring, geeky, uncreative and not really helping anyone!
At ITU – the United Nations agency for information & communication technologies (ICT) – they believe ICT affects the life and work of everyone on this planet and, with the future constantly being reinvented through tech, that ICT is the coolest area to get in to.
So they’re here to encourage girls to step up to technology and not leave all the fun to boys in shaping our futures
Tech Needs Girls is calling all girls aged 9-18 to lend their talents and creativity to inventing and improving our future. Enter one, or more, of their competitions to flex your ICT skills and start a journey celebrating girls (and women) in tech around the world.
Keep a close eye on the website as details of the prizes and competitions will be released over the coming weeks
