Help shape the conversation on sustainable development

ecosocfwwIn June 2012, 40,000 people met in Rio de Janeiro, at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), and agreed that change was needed. Following up on Rio+20, the UN is continuing its efforts to promote sustainable development and to prepare a new development agenda that will take us beyond 2015.

On 24 September, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will hold a special ministerial meeting on sustainable development. To help shape the conversation at this meeting, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Department of Public Information have launched an online forum to collect your input.

You can post your questions until 24 September on Facebook or via Twitter (using #FutureWEwant and #Beyond2015). Select questions will be answered live on UN Webcast on 24 September 2012.

The time to act is now. Be part of the journey towards a sustainable future, building the future WE want.

Watch this video to learn more about the opportunities and challenges at hand and how to help shape the path towards a sustainable future WE want.
