By the age of 84, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior's rise to the nation's highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans – until now.

The event will be co-hosted by EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourová, and followed by a panel discussion with:

Françoise Tulkens, former Judge and Vice-President of the European Court of Human Rights, Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Letters, Sciences and Fine Arts of Belgium

  • Dagmar Schumacher, Director, UN Women Brussels Office
  • Panel moderated by Sietske Steneker, Director, UNFPA Brussels Office
  • With an introduction by Deborah Seward, Director, UNRIC

The film screening and debate will be followed by a reception.
