Another year has flown by, and we have had the privilege of showing you some of the best documentaries of 2015. With topics ranging from corruption, capitalism and consumption to rural development and climate change, Ciné-ONU has covered many issues close to our hearts.
Screenings included the Academy Award winning documentary ‘Citizenfour’, the revealing documentary ‘The Price We Pay’ on big business tax avoidance, and the unsettling ‘Cowspiracy’, which opened our eyes to the fact that livestock is responsible for 65% of all human-related emissions.
Tears were shed as powerful images took over the screen and hearts beat louder as discussions became more lively and intense. We can’t wait to make 2016 even better!
So… What’s in store for 2016?
In 2016, we are looking forward to screening many more heartwarming, yet critical and thought-provoking documentaries on crime and drugs, babushkas and our sustainable future.
We aim to continue supporting UN goals and achievements and raising awareness through film for years to come. Don’t forget to stay tuned by signing up for our newsletter here. See you in 2016!
